In a special award ceremony organized,continuing the noble initiative like every year,the POSCO TJ Park Foundation Scholarship has been awarded to meritorious students of BPUT and KIIT University.
This year,5 students each from BPUT and KIIT University received the prestigious scholarship that is being conferred every year to meritorious students since 2006 by POSCO TJ Park Foundation.The students from BPUT,who have been awarded the scholarship this year are Mr Partha Sarathi Mohapatra,Mr Smaranika Swain,Mr Jyoti Prakash Mishra,Mr Sayari Das,Mr Subhrangini Mishra.
Similarly,the 5 students from KIIT University who have been felicitated with the scholarship are Mr Arnab Ray,Mr Chandresh Kumar Mahajan,Mr Rohit Kumar Rastogi,Ms Ruchi Kumari,Mr Apoorva Sharma.
Mr YW Yoon CMD of POSCO India said that his pleasure while awarding the POSCO Asia Fellowship on behalf of POSCO TJ Park Foundation at BPUT&KIIT universities.
Mr Yoon said that"As all of you are aware,POSCO signed a MoU with Govt.of Odisha in 2005 to set up a 12 million tonne per annum integrated steel plant in Jagatsinghpur District of Odisha State.In the last 7 years we have faced some obstacles and delays but we are still determined to move ahead and construct a world class steel facility for the benefit of all stakeholders.POSCO will do its best efforts to construct a state of the art steel plant in Odisha.And I expect to see you working with us in upcoming days."
